A BRIEF HISTORY:

28th Street Garage has been helping you maintain your vehicles for over 30 years... since 1972 when WE WERE ACTUALLY ON 28th STREET! That’s right! We really did start out at 2716 28th Street (at Bluff St. - Currently, Dot’s Diner occupies that space). Back in those days, we worked ONLY on Volkswagens, and you were likely to get a HAND-WRITTEN RECEIPT on the BROWN PAPER BAG the parts came in for your Beetle, Bus, Fastback, Squareback, etc..

WOW! Times have changed! We do just about everything EXCEPT air-cooled stuff these days. We have been at our present location at 4730 Pearl Street since 1974, just North of Boulder Toyota.

Yes, things have changed and 28th Street Garage has evolved with the changing times. We strive to keep ahead of the amazing technological advances in the automobile industry. We continually update the state-of-the-art equipment at our facility, including on-line subscriptions to Alldata, Identifix, IATN and other repair services that give us THE EDGE from the collective POWER AND EXPERTISE OF OVER 50,000 TRAINED PROFESSIONALS! Among other things, these services aid us in identifying Pattern Failures, Technical Service Bulletins, and Safety Recalls that may apply to your vehicles. Our technicians are continually training (40-100+ hours annually!) to better understand and service the complex systems of both current and future automotive applications. Gone are the days of opening the hood and do-it-yourself service. Today’s automotive service requires a computer interface for each and every application. (Sure, there are still a few things you can do yourself, but it’s becoming less user friendly.)
